Project Description:

NuJak performed construction management services for the new live/learn facility, named Buena Vida.  The live/learn facility will be adjacent to the new College of Natural & Health Sciences building and the business and education building. The four-story, 145,000-square-foot facility will house:

  • Music practice rooms
  • Choral rehearsal hall
  • Fine arts program
  • Graphic design and computer labs
  • Food court area with national brands
  • Classrooms (12+)
  • Faculty offices (50+) and
  • Student residences (the third and fourth floors of the facility will house 400 students)

More specifically, the 4-story building will include on the first floor a band room, practice rooms, faculty studios, digital editing rooms, a piano lab, instrument storage, a percussion studio, a 2-D/3-D art room, an art gallery and a control room for recording from the band room. The second floor will house faculty offices, and the third and fourth floors will be residential space for students.
