We obtain real pricing from the trade partners who would potentially perform the work, based on schematic and design development documents. This method is the most accurate and reflects current market conditions.

Top-Down Estimating

Our in-house team supplements this with:

  • Historical Pricing: A database built over 30 years across projects from $25,000 to $40 million, organized by Work Breakdown Structure and driven by production rates and crew outputs.
  • National Benchmarking: National unit pricing and market tools are used to validate quantities, calibrate unit costs, and reconcile regional conditions.

This dual approach allows us to forecast final project cost while design is still flexible.
